OTHER PROJECTS
Graphics - sunteam_paul and sunteam_ian
A selection of art from the many other projects that we started and never finished. We started many things.

PROJECT A-KO BEAT 'EM UP
A good idea - take a selection of characters from the popular anime Project A-ko and make a Street Fighter style beat 'em up. The best intentions were there but this got the chop when I really started to struggle with the animation. It was just too much work.

PAC-MAN ANIMATED STORY
This was going to be a fun little animated story using the Pac-land style of graphics. |

GG SPACE HARRIER
Being my favourite arcade game, GG Space Harrier was always going to be a possibility. The graphics were started, but initial tests showed once again that AMOS was just too damned slow to produce a realistically playable game (and I'm sure my sloppy coding never helped).

GHOSTBUSTERS
At one point we decided it was a good idea to copy some sprites from the Mega Drive version of Ghostbusters. Not great.

|
DRAGON BALL Z BEAT 'EM UP
For no reason other than love of Dragon Ball, I started copying some graphics from the DBZ beat 'em up on the Mega Drive. Could I make a game out of it? Well, it seems not.

SPLATTERHOUSE
This was big in our minds for some time. sunteam_ian and myself quite liked Splatterhouse and decided to make our own version. We discussed a few level concepts, such as city, junkyard etc and drew a nice main sprite. But we got distracted by bigger and better things and stopped working on this before it really started.

A Ghouls 'n' Ghosts style map. |

|
|
This was fairly early work for us. I think the city in the background is stolen from The Super Shinobi. |
|
A boss that we named 'King Heap'. He was going to rise out of a mound of garbage. |
|
GG SHINOBI
I can't say for sure whether this was started before or after GG Eswat. Regardless, it was never near to being made, although I did program the into sequence for an extra on Manga World III.

URUSEI YATSURA DIGITAL COMIC
Because I loved Urusei Yatsura so much, I had the idea to take of of the stories from the manga and animate it. It got as far as a small bit of animation in AMOS, but that was about it.

MERCS
This was probably one of the first ideas we had for 'converting' an arcade game. Confident that AMOS would be able to handle full screen parallax scrolling, we set to work - and fortunately moved on to something else before we could be disappointed.

A sketch for the background layer in-game. It just looks bad. |

STAR WARS GAME
We loved Star Wars. We loved action. Well, why not make our own Star Wars action game? Unfortunately, after we started this it appeared that someone else already had the same idea and released Super Star Wars on the SNES. Hmph. I still say we thought of it first.

MIND GAMES
This was one of the first game ideas we put any real work into and it shows its age. It was going to be a simple side-on two player battle game, such as Commodore PET classic 'Western Gunfight' or a side view 'Discs of Tron'. You would pick from a variety of famous characters to play, including Nemesis the Warlock, Robocop, Conan the Barbarian, Luke Skywalker, Batman etc. We drew quite a few sprites, most with gloriously bloody death animations. Unfortunately they were so poor I'm not even going to put them on display here. Considering the floppy disk was named 'Bloody Crap Sprites' you can get the general idea. Here are a few really bad backgrounds and things though.

This was supposed to be Gotham City. |
